If you are looking for creative things to do with the family for Hanukkah Festivities in LA which include art for kids and adults, Robertson Art Zone is a great place to be. The RAZ Holiday Art Workshops are intergenerational afternoon experiences at the inspiring art school.
Family and friends can begin and end their Festival of Lights at The RAZ in Beverly Hills with art workshops on “Miracles, Magic & Joy!”
Workshop participants get to experience an exclusive live author reading of the children’s book “The Hidden Light.” Everyone will also make art projects sparkling with joy & light using mediums like painting, building, and collage, based on the story led by the book’s writer and illustrator.

RAZ Chanukah Art Workshop, “First Night of Candle Lighting”
Location: Robertson Art Zone
Presenting stories in person about a magical oil jar from the book “The Hidden Light,” the author Yael Lichaa and illustrator Hagit Damito will entertain and guide RAZ art workshop participants through a meaningful experience of joy in coloring page illustrations from the book and making one or both art projects.
Art Projects:
1) Make a Chanukiah with your choice of wooden shapes, colors and stone design.
2) Paint Chanukah Shimmering Lights on Canvas with acrylics and glitter.
5:15 P.M. Chanukah Candle Lighting Ceremony
Let’s celebrate together with Hanukkah songs and yummy donuts! Stay after the workshop and connect to the light of miracles by lighting the first candle on the Menorah (Chanukiah).

The RAZ Store will be open during workshops with gifts such as Chanukiah making kits, “The Hidden Light” children’s coloring books, and a variety of Hanukkah candles.

1) Click Project A - Arctic Animal or Character: Designing a collage with fabrics and leather.
2) Click Project B - Shimmering Winter Lights: Dimensional painting with acrylics and glitter on black or white canvas
In addition to our fun art projects, enjoy various vendors from the neighborhood and community. There will be a food truck and the last, 8th Candle Lighting with songs and donuts.
