Painting & Mixed Media, 6-week, ages 5-8

Description

Children will be introduced to various art mediums and learn different techniques while enjoying the process of self-discovery, interaction with other kids, and understanding the correlation between art and life lessons :) • Class 1. Learn the magic of mixing primary colors, and create a color wheel. • Class 2. Paint with plaster, liquid acrylic, and food dye. • Class 3. Make a collage of characters or objects with fabrics. • Class 4. Spring landscape with watercolor pencils. • Class 5. Paint on a black canvas with the dot technique. • Class 6. 3D garden on foam board, paint trees on the wall and grass on the bottom, bushes, flowers, and garden animals. NOTE: The lesson plan might change.
