We’re expanding and looking for more teachers to join the RAZ team. This 4-week workshop's purpose is to train potential teachers to teach art using the RAZ method. WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? Class 1 - Everyone can be an Artist Topic: Define art, break fears and open to intuitive skills. Skills: Improve drawing, and learn to work with magic clay. Exercise: Blindfolded doodle challenge. Project: Draw characters from inspired objects and sculpt them with magic clay. Class 2 - Painting/Color Theory Topic: Color wheel Skills: Color mixing and color groups Exercise: Mixing primary colors to get secondary & tertiary colors. Project: Painting on canvas, using prepared palettes Class 3 - Shapes and layers Topic: Breaking down a face into shapes Skills: Painting and collage Exercise: Paint a face with shapes, layer the fabrics Project: Make a collage with fabric scraps in various shapes and paint Class 4 - Shapes and proportions Topic: Breaking down a human figure into shapes Exercise: Drawing characters with charcoal Skills: Transitioning from 2D thinking to 3D, hot glue safety Projects: Building a character with wood and fabrics
