Description

Making characters is an essential story building component, which helps children recognize important and basic life lessons they can implement in their lives.  Understanding the motivation and personality of a character helps to make a connection to a story and the environment. Children will create a unique character in each class using different mediums and develop 2-dimensional skills like drawing, painting, and collage, as well as 3-dimensional skills like sculpting with clay and building with wood. Class 1. Design and sculpt characters with magic clay from inspired objects. Class 2. Draw a human character, then collage it with fabrics. Class 3. Build a cartoon character with wood, and add fabric clothes. Class 4. Draw mythical creatures with watercolor pencils. Class 5. Paint a hero or a villain with acrylics, and learn color groups. The best After-School Program with Art for Kids is Making Art Through Storytelling at Robertson Art Zone, Beverly Hills. Spring After-school SCHEDULE runs from April through May.
