This 10-week workshop's purpose is to train potential teachers to teach art using the RAZ method. 4 weeks - Take the course/learn 4 weeks - Observe and assist a teacher in class 2 weeks - Teach with supervision, live classes, and evaluation WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? Class 1 - Everyone can be an Artist Skills: Improve drawing, learn to work with a magic clay Projects: Draw characters from inspired objects and sculpt them with magic clay. Class 2 - Painting/Color Theory Skills: Color mixing and color groups Project: Painting on canvas, using prepared palettes Class 3 - Shapes and layers Skills: Painting and collage Project: Make a collage with fabric scraps in various shapes and paint Class 4 - Shapes and proportions Skills: Transitioning from 2D thinking to 3D, hot glue safety Project: Building a character with wood and fabrics Class 5 - Working with clay, part 1 Skills: pinching and coiling technique Project: Make a vase with clay. Class 6 - Working with clay, part 2 Skills: Hand-building rolling technique Project: Make mugs and plates with clay Class 7 - Painting clay with underglaze Skills: Painting and glazing Project: Paint and glaze previously made dishware Class 8 - Making a collage Skills: Depth and perspective Project: Make a winter or spring landscape with paper, mixed media Class 9 - Painting with watercolor pencils Skills: Learn composition and proportion Project: Draw and paint Still Life with watercolor pencils Class 10 - Identifying your skills and talents Skills: Develop critical thinking and reduce anxiety Project: Create a unique art piece, using any learned mediums
